National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, NAPTIP, Uyo zonal command in collaboration Sokoto command, has rescued 8 victims of human trafficking ferried enroute Libya. The victims who were all citizens of Akwa Ibom state comprised six girls and two boys were intercepted and rescued in Sokoto by operatives of the agency. Healthy Life Development Initiative (HELDi), a Non-Governmental Organization, has hosted multi stakeholders’ meeting on the impact of Environmental Pollution and Adaptation Processes for Physically Challenged/Marginalized Women in Rivers State. The agency is said to have stormed Imo state on Wednesday March 13, on a rescue operation following a tip off by a concerned citizen of the state.
