In what many have described as unprecedented move, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor on Christian Youth Matters, Apostle Barr. Samuel Inyang is set to organize interactive and sensitisation summit for Christian Youth Leaders in different denominations across the state.
The programme slated for Tuesday November 19, at the Insight Bible Church, Nsikak Eduok Avenue, Uyo will have Church youth leaders, coordinators in all the 31 local government areas in attendance.
The summit which has as its theme; “Christian Youth Leaders for Transformational Leadership”, will feature paper presentation by Senior Special Assistant to Governor on Branding, Mr. Raphael Edem, message will be delivered by Pastor Sylvanus Ukafia of the Insight Bible Church while Bishop Isaiah Issong will give admonition on behalf of Fathers of Faith.
Stakeholders sensitise communities on PIA, HCDT funds benefits
Speaking on the essence of the programme, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor on Christian Youth Matters, Apostle Samuel Inyang said the programme will afford him the opportunity to sensitise Christian Youths on programmes and policies of Government as well as extract a buy-in from them to support the present administration.
According to the convener, “the one-day summit aims to sensitize, integrate, mobilize and reposition the Youths to actively partake in governance and also take advantage of the numerous Youth Development programmes as embedded in the ARISE agenda of the current administration.”
He added that his office is committed to interpreting Governor Umo Eno’s vision to youths in all denominations in order to make them reason in sync what government expectations and take advantage of opportunities embedded in the ARISE Agenda.
Apostle Inyang noted that it is the desire of the administration of Pastor Umo Eno to reposition youths of the state for better and greater opportunities on the global stage as such, Christian youths should not be left behind.
The convener called on Church leaders and founders to encourage their youth leaders to participate in the leadership summit.
Also expected at the event are member representing Uyo/Uruan/Nsit Atai/Ibesikpo Asutan Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Mark Esset, select local government chairmen and other appointees of government.
