Akwa Ibom state students in public secondary schools who took 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination(WASSCE) have not been able to access their result over alleged indebtedness of the state government to the examination body, West African Examination Council, WAEC. Staff of Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) under the aegis of Council of Academic and Non-Teaching Unions have rejected proposed plans by the Akwa Ibom State Government to defray their arrears of salaries and 8 months minimum wage.
