“The truth is that President Tinubu has demonstrated uncommon courage and visionary leadership in tackling difficult national challenges. The ongoing reforms in the petroleum sector, education, infrastructure, fiscal policy and other key areas are already laying the foundation for a stronger and more resilient economy. With his emergence as the APC presidential candidate, he will, by God grace and the support of Nigerians, win the general election next year. That will give him the opportunity to sustain these reforms and consolidate on the gains already being witnessed across the country,” the Minister stated.
Ekpo further noted that continuity of the current administration would enable the President strengthen investor confidence, accelerate industrial growth and create greater opportunities for youth empowerment, job creation and national development.
Speaking on Governor Umo Eno’s emergence as the APC consensus Governorship candidate in Akwa Ibom State, the Minister commended the state Chief Executive for providing purposeful and inclusive leadership that has continued to promote peace, unity and development across the state.
“Governor Umo Eno has distinguished himself through a leadership style anchored on peace, inclusiveness and development. His administration has continued to touch lives through impactful programmes and projects across party lines in the state. So, his emergence as consensus candidate is not surprising because the people have seen sincerity, humility and commitment in his leadership. A second term by next year will undoubtedly provide him the opportunity to build on his legacies for the benefit of Akwa Ibom people,” Ekpo said.
The Minister further assured that he would continue to work closely with the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, Governor Umo Eno and other critical stakeholders in Akwa Ibom State to ensure the APC records overwhelming victory in the 2027 general elections.
He commended party faithful for their cooperation throughout the primaries, urging them to remain committed to the collective goal of sustaining progressive governance in the country.
