A young Akwa Ibom serial Entrepreneur, Emem Jacob Edem, has won the ‘Inspirational Founder of the Year’ award at the just concluded 2024 edition of the Startup South Conference.
Startup South Conference gathers founders, innovators and investors from across Nigeria and beyond to a city within the South-South and South-East of Nigeria, annually.
The 2024 edition of the event, which is in its 9th year, was held on the 3rd and 4th of October 2024 in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
In his thank you speech after the award, Emem said “this award is a motivation for me to do more and to encourage other young Nigerians and Africans that they can achieve what they set out their heart to do despite the challenges of daily life.”
He went further to thank the organisers of the award for the honour done him.
The Uyo-born Emem is known for his strong passion for business, innovation, and growth.
At age 21, Emem has successfully launched and managed six thriving businesses across tech, PR, and agro-allied sectors.
As the CEO and founder of the Etegram group of companies, Emem develops technology products aimed at enhancing the African digital economy through his Etegeam and Moniecheap apps.
