One Hundred and Seventeen Thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty-Two beneficiaries from Akwa Ibom State will be enrolled in the ongoing Renewed Hope Conditional Cash Transfer (RH-CCT) Programme of the Federal Government for rural/urban poor and vulnerable.
This was disclosed during the just concluded one-day capacity enhancement training organised for the 31 Local Government Facilitators in the State at the Women Development Centre, IBB Uyo during the weekend.

RH-CCT Programme is an immediate intervention by the Federal Government to cushion the effects of petrol subsidy removal and other economic shocks on the rural/urban poor and vulnerable where beneficiaries will be paid N25,000 for three months.
According to the available data, out of the total number earmarked for enrollment in the state, One Hundred and One Thousand Five Hundred and Twenty -Three (101523) beneficiaries were mined from the National Social Register (NSR) while Sixteen thousand, two hundred and fifty-nine (16259) beneficiaries were mined from the Rapid Response Register (RRR) .
A breakdown on Local Government basis shows that Oruk Anam L. G. Area has the highest number of beneficiaries with 7192 followed by Ibiono Ibom LGA with 7035 respectively.
The head of Unit, Conditional Cash Transfer, Akwa Ibom State, Mr Innocent Okure in his remarks during the training enjoined CTFs to dispense their duties diligently. He also charged them to engage the benefitting community leaders during the sensitization and disclosure of the beneficiaries’ list for optimum result.
The enrollment which commenced on Wednesday, 27 December 2023 will last for 10 days across 30 Local Government Areas in the State except Urueoffong /Oruko L. G. Area.
