Elder Udobia Udoma Udobia has emerged the new Conference Secretary of Qua Iboe Church.
Elder Udobia who is from Ibiaku Area Conference, was selected after a five man committee saddled with the responsibility of bringing on board a new Conference Secretary, submitted its report.
The five man committee headed by Elder Trustee Etop Uko had interviewed five persons who declared interest to succeed the immediate past General Secretary, Elder Godwin Obot who bowed out of office after 10 years service to the Church.
Following the submission of the report at Conference Standing Committee meeting held at Qua Iboe Church, Obio Etoi, Uyo Area Conference, Elder Udobia Udoma Udobia selection was affirmed by the Conference and was subsequently sworn in as the new Conference Secretary.

Speaking shortly before the inauguration of the new Secretary, the General Secretary/Chairman of Conference, Revd Ekpedeme Moffat Efanga, commended the the committee for a job well done. He equally congratulated the new Secretary for his emergence. He charged him to continue to maintain the high standard of the church and that of the office.
Responding after his inauguration, Elder Udobia who is an alumnus of University of Uyo, expressed appreciation to the leadership of the church for the confidence reposed in him and promised not to fail the church.
He also promised to follow the path of righteousness, dedication, faithfulness and to take the Church to the next level of Christ centric and kingdom competitiveness.
Earlier in his valedictory speech, Elder Godwin Obot thanked God, the leadership and faithful of the Church for the opportunity given him to serve while the Church appreciated and wished him well in his future endeavours.
The new General Secretary will be officially unveiled to the public during the 137th Annual Conference of Church that is taking place at the International Headquarters of the Church, Ibeno, in December.
