In the spirit of love and empowering the next generation, International President, Loveworld Global Fellowship, Dr. Daysman Oyakhilome MNBR is set to empower Akwa Ibom youths to realise their full potentials.
The all-important event, slated for December 31, 2024, also coincides with the grand finale of the “Rural Youths Tournament”, an annual youth football fiesta proudly sponsored by the Loveworld Global Fellowship in partnership with an illustrious son of the State, from Etim Ekpo extraction, Mr. Wasinfreke Udoessien.
Rural youth tournament, which is on its 3 consecutive seasons, was curated to empower the mind and physical wellbeing of Akwa Ibomites with mouthwatering prizes, cash, business grants and food items during the end it grand finale.

Recall, last year 2023 edition, had a carnival-like participation of teams, community spectators and talents scouters. The eventual winner of the tournament carted home the grand prize of a decorated gold trophy, a whooping prize sum, while the runners up and participating teams got consolation prizes. The participating communities were not left out on the empowerment largesse as they were handsomely empowered with business grants, work kits and food items.
This year’s edition promises a bumper feast from cash prizes, grants and food items to the rurals, who are keen about and counting days to the grand finale with the special touch from Dr. Oyakhilome and team.
Earlier in a release about the tournament, the Facilitator said:
“The tournament is an annual event, that has continued unabated for the last 3 years. Its features include not only the physical aspect of sports, but our intention is to galvanize unity, love, celebration of Christ birth and empower their minds for optimum growth and productivity. As a tradition, our Lead partner, the Loveworld Global Fellowship has always been on hand to serve and reach out to the rural communities, sharing love and empowering the people to achieve purpose in life”.
Meanwhile, the venue for this all-important exercise is Government Primary School, Ikot Edet in Etim Ekpo local government, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.
The chairman local organising committee, Mr. Anamama Joseph while appreciating the facilitators for the huge investment and love for humanity, extended invitation to all lovers of sports, stakeholders and political class of Etim Ekpo particularly the Chairman of Etim Ekpo local government, Gideon Uwah who is billed to serve as the Special Guess of Honour, and Hon. Samuel Effiong, who performed the ceremonial kick-off of the tournament will also serve as the Guess of Honour, while the Councilor representing Ward 4, Aides to the Governor from the area, amongst others, will be on hand to witness the epochmaking event.
