Princess (Dr.) Victoria Ibokette, African Democratic Congress, ADC candidate for Uyo Senatorial District in 2023 election has appreciated members of her campaign council, while also empowering them with cash to enhance their businesses.
She encouraged them not to be deterred by the outcome of the election as God, whom she described as master strategist, will see her through.
Princess Ibokette revealed she chose to join the contest on God’s mandate to liberate the people of Uyo Senatorial District, but noted that INEC betrayed the trust Nigerians had on the commission.
I came on the mandate because God said so. He told me there was a problem, go and liberate my people. If God says I go again I will and he if he says encourage someone else, I will do so.
INEC actually betrayed Nigerians. All that we saw was accreditation machines after which people were given ballot papers to vote. This is the worst of INEC.

“My focus was to ensure we boost our local economy by bringing in industries, education and hospitals. If you go to Rivers, Edo, and Bayelsa states they all have headquarters of something. Here we do not headquarters of anything. If you go to NDDC headquarters you will see people running around to make money. If we have Department of Petroleum Resources, DPR here, our youths will be engaged, companies will spring up.
“If we also bring in investors, do not forget local content is 51 percent, so we will still have control over the companies to develop our state. We are too backward in everything. We are not enjoying our right. We earn the highest money yet how many people are enjoying it. If we were to spread stipends to families, one billion, five hundred million naira will not scratch our money. So much money comes into the state but our people are so poor. We are not building people.
“I am here to thank God who kept everyone alive. God brought us together for a reason. Thank you for being so committed. I saw love across Uyo Senatorial District, I saw uncommon followership and acceptability. Wherever we went to we were accept and celebrated.
“We must get back our land, we didn’t join our forebears to sell our land to the gods. I love God with all my life, and I am unstoppable. The light of God is on path. It is not over yet.”
Earlier in his speech, the Director of Princess Victoria Ibokette campaign council, Pastor Saviour Ekpe said the essence of the meeting was to avail Princess Victoria Ibokette opportunity to say thank you to all who supported her.
He described the ADC Senatorial candidate as a philanthropist who is poised to see a better society.

She described her as the most generous woman who would also seek every opportunity for the benefit of all.
She thanked the people for standing up for her not minding humiliation.
Highpoint of the meeting was distribution of financial empowerment packages.
