The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has approved additional 23 new programmes for Federal Polytechnic, Ukana.
The programme which is to run initially for a period of two years will commence from the 2026/2027 academic session.
The full accreditation of the programmes will be due for another quality assurance visit by the end of September 2028.
This was contained in a letter signed by Ayo Aroge, Director, Polytechnic and Allied Programmes on behalf of the executive secretary.
The newly accredited programmes is another profound testament to the remarkable and visionary administration of the rector, Mrs. Edumma Essien.

The newly accredited programmes are: ND Surveying & Geo-informatics; ND Estate Management and Valuation; ND Building Technology; ND Petroleum Marketing & Business Studies; ND Crime Management; ND Artificial Intelligence, ND Procurement and Supply Chain Management; ND Mechatronics Engineering Technology; ND Water Resources Engineering Technology; ND Renewable Energy Engineering Technology; HND SLT (Chemistry Option); HND SLT (Biochemistry Option); HND SLT (Microbiology Option); HND SLT (Physics with Electronics Option); HND SLT (Environmental Biology Option); HND Cyber Security and Data Protection; HND Electrical Electronics Engineering Technology (Power & Machine Option); HND Electrical Electronics Engineering Technology (Electronics/Telecommunication Option); HND Electrical Electronics Engineering Technology (Instrumentation and Control Option); HND Computer Engineering Technology; HND Civil Engineering Technology; HND Business Administration & Management and HND Accountancy.
This brings the total number of programmes in the institution to 44.
