Health insurance concludes pre-accreditation, sensitization exercise

The campaign in preparation for the enrollment exercise of Akwa Ibom residents and subsequent accreditation of health facilities that will offer care has been concluded.

Over 18 health facilities in the State have received the pre-sensitization and accreditation conducted by the Akwa Ibom State Health Insurance Agency.

The event which covered the three senatorial districts of the State has successfully informed the communities about the benefits of health insurance, assessed healthcare facilities for accreditation, and initiated the enrollment process for residents.

The Executive Secretary Dr Igbemi Arthur Igbemi while flagging off the campaign exercise at the Anchor Insurance house reiterated the commitment of the Agency to deliver affordable, accessible, quality and efficient health service to all residents of the State.

The agency appreciates the enthusiastic disposition of majority of the health providers which has made the Agency optimistic of a smooth and cordial implementation process.

Some of the facilities visited include – General Hospital Eket, Iquita Oron, Onna, Etinan, St Luke’s Hospital Anua, Uruk Ata Ekpor, Essien Udim, Abak, Ikot Ekpene, Primary Health Center Operational Base Abak, Essien Udim, Ikot Ekpene, Eket, Oron, Uyo, Etim Ekpo.
