The Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Mr. Umana Okon Umana, has eulogized a stalwart of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akwa Ibom State and former Chairman of the State Local Government Service Commission, Chief Otu It’s Otoyo, during the celebration of his 70th birthday, held at SheerGrace Arena, Uyo, on Thursday, April 13, 2023.
The minister, who was represented by the Honourable Commissioner representing Akwa Ibom State in the Niger Delta Development Commission, Dr. Emem Wilcox Wills, praised the Almighty God with the song “Great is thy faithfulness” in appreciation of the thriving life, loving family, fruitful political career, sound health of the celebrant.
He noted that Chief Ita Otoyo fondly called Total Chair has exhibited immense intelligence, sense of purpose, dedication, courage and integrity in leadership all through his political career, making him a role model in leadership.
Remarking further on the celebrant’s wealth of knowledge, the minister said, “Chief Otoyo is one person you can always have an objective, intelligent and unbiased conversation with about the growth and development of our State and the nation”.
“It’s often said that life begins at 40, but in the case of Total Chair, I’ll say that wisdom, storage and consultation starts at 70. I’m hereby wishing Chief Otu Ita Otoyo many more years of God’s blessings in good health, happiness and accomplishments”.
