An international Anti-Corruption Non-Governmental Organisation: Centre for Ethics and Self Value Orientation has ranked the Akwa Ibom State Chapter of Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) as 3rd least corrupt state Chapter in Nigeria. The Director General, National Orientation Agency, Lanre Issa-Onilu has diffused the notion that the reintroduced national anthem was written and bequeathed to Nigerians by colonialists. National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, NAPTIP, Uyo zonal command in collaboration Sokoto command, has rescued 8 victims of human trafficking ferried enroute Libya.
