The member representing Nsit Ibom State Constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Eric Akpan, has commended Governor Umo Eno for approving the upgrade of the College of Education, Afaha Nsit, to a University of Education.
Speaking with newsmen, Rt. Hon. Eric Akpan, who is Chairman of the House Committee on Public Accounts, expressed appreciation to Governor Umo Eno for making history as the first governor in the State’s history to boldly transform the institution to its new status.
He described the new University of Education, Afaha Nsit, as a dream come true for his constituency and another tangible achievement of the ARISE Agenda in boosting tertiary education.
“This is a milestone for Akwa Ibom State; this is historic for Akwa Ibom State. This is yet another imprint of the success story of the ARISE Agenda. This is another first for Governor Umo Eno in boosting tertiary education, and the people of Nsit Ibom State Constituency are eternally grateful,” Rt. Hon. Eric Akpan stated.
He reaffirmed the commitment and support of his people to the re-election of Governor Umo Eno in 2027, describing the governor’s performance as service to the State with distinction and assuring that the progressive unity of development in Akwa Ibom State will be sustained in Nsit Ibom State Constituency for continued democratic dividends.
“Governor Umo Eno is a visionary leader. He has introduced policies in his administration that have improved the welfare of the people. We are grateful for the democratic dividends of the ARISE Agenda in just over two years and for the progressive unity that is building a prosperous future for generations to come,” Eric Akpan said.
“Nsit Ibom State Constituency is proud of Governor Umo Eno, and we have affirmed our unflinching commitment to mobilising and supporting his successful re-election at the polls in 2027. We are united in his candidacy for him to continue the good works of development in Akwa Ibom State,” Eric Akpan emphasized.
