The United Nations Positive Livelihood Award Centre (UN-POLAC) recognized Akwaobong Unwana, Akparawa (Dr) Emmanuel Ntatam with the prestigious Ambassador for Peace award for his outstanding contributions to promoting peace, unity, and social progress within the community and beyond.
The event, held at the palace of the Clan Head of Ediene, His Royal Majesty, Etebom (Dr) Okuku Udo Ben (JP), had in attendance international dignitaries, traditional rulers, representatives from various non-governmental organizations, and members of the UN-POLAC highlighted the significance of peacebuilding efforts in contemporary society.
Akparawa Ntatam’s inventiveness, which span humanitarian services, conflict resolution, human capacity development, projection of peace, community development, and advocacy for human rights, have been contributory in creating harmonious environments and promoting sustainable development.

Speaking among others, Engr Amb. Ita George, read out the warming guide and companion leading words of POLAC, reminding Ntatam of the necessity to love peace and follow same, while building a bridge of peace for others to walk on.
Akwaobong Unwana while responding to the honour and the certificate of appointment, emphasised on the collective responsibility of individuals and institutions in nurturing peace, harmony and oneness in the society.
