Ifiokobong Akpan, a Nigerian tech entrepreneur and educator, continues to drive youth empowerment and digital transformation through his innovative platforms, Digitstem and Reenite Spaces.
Ifiokobong may best be described as a highly passionate and driven innovator who specializes in bringing ideas to life through digital technology. However, his passion for excellence in entrepreneurship and innovation dates way back. In 2014, Ifiokobong emerged as the best graduating student of Evangel Seminary, went on to earn a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka with a Second-Class Upper Division while nurturing his growing passion in tech through online courses, which he purchased with his then meager allowance as a student. He describes this as an investment which formed the foundation of his career in tech. He also participated in various hands-on training where he learnt the rudiments of software development, blogging and SEO optimization, and Data analytics.
Ifiokobong would subsequently take an interest in Digital marketing after he sold different in-demand commodities through his company, Fulfilera. Shortly after in July 2022, he got the idea to start his own digital marketing platform, a brainchild which he describes as a
compensation from God after a series of unsuccessful business ventures. In collaboration with 3 of his colleagues, Ifiokobong conceptualized and co-founded Digitstem, a digital commerce and education platform designed to combine learning, entrepreneurship, and income generation. Since its launch, the platform has grown to over 200,000 active users, serving individuals across Nigeria and
Ifiokobong currently serves as Co-Founder/CTO at Digitstem where he deploys his technical expertise to ensure that the platform is running smoothly for the past four (4) years of its operation. Speaking on the platform’s vision, Ifiokobong said: “Digitstem was created to provide young people with real tools for financial independence and professional growth.”
In addition to his achievements in the tech space in Nigeria, Ifiokobong undertook several professional internships in Data Analytics, gaining practical experience in business intelligence, data processing, and performance evaluation. He has gone further to complete a Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science in the United Kingdom, graduating with a distinction.
On May 31, 2025, he further expanded his impact with the launch of Reenite Spaces, a modern coworking and learning hub in the heart of Uyo that supports freelancers, startups, corporate teams, and event organizers. Since its launch, Reenite Spaces has served over 1,000 customers, hosting personal work sessions, corporate projects, training programmes, and business events.

Through both platforms, Ifiokobong has trained and mentored hundreds of young people in data analytics, software development, digital marketing, and business development with the most recent initiative being 100% scholarship offer to eligible but financially challenged applicants who pass a computer-based video proctored assessment. As part of his commitment to spread the knowledge of technology and to help other young persons become financially-independent, he has also set up various learning initiatives and platforms such as Tekskillup and Learnwithifiok, training and certifying students in software development, data analytics, Cybersecurity, Digital Marketing, and others.
Looking ahead, he plans to expand Reenite Spaces to new locations and strengthen his digital learning platforms to reach more African youths.
