An industrialist and cleric, Prince Mendy Archibong has received Beacon of Light Award by The Apostolic Church, Uyo Field Superintendent.
Archibong who received the award along select local government chairmen, government appointees and clerics in the state at the church headquarters, Obio Imo, Uyo.
On why the award was given to him as a non-member of the church, Prince Archibong said as a carrier of God’s light ,there was no way his light would be hidden.
He noted that the award did not come to him as a surprise as he had been given to him as the best pastor in his community.
Archibong argued that the award was an indication that people are aware of his humanitarian deeds.
He applauded The Apostolic Church for the award.
Earlier in his speech, the Uyo Field Superintendent Apostle Ime George, said the event is the church way of returning glory to God as well as committing the awardees into God’s hands for continuous protection, uplift and all-round favour.
“It is most gratifying to inform you that as denomination, we consider all Christians, irrespective of denominational divide as Children of the most-high God.
“It was on the basis that we opened our arms to our fellow Christians to join us in this glorious banquet.” Apostle George said.
