A former Nigeria for Democrat (NFD) presidential candidate in 2019 general elections and US Attorney, Asukwo Mendie Archibong was among those called to the Bar as a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
He was among the 5,734 presented for called to Bar in Abuja after successfully completing the Nigerian Law School Bar part 1 and part 11.

Archibong who was admitted into the Maryland and Washington DC Bars in the United States of America, had a juris Doctor from McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific – 2009 and a master of Laws, Intellectual Property from George Washington University Law school – 2010 and a degree in Biochemistry from the University of Uyo.
His induction into the legal profession has added additional advantage in his activism, political career and New Development Initiative, an advocacy NGO for good governance.

In his addressed, the former Chief Justice of Nigeria and Chairman of the Body of Benchers, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, charged the newly inducted lawyers to uphold to the ethics of their professional standards.
He reminded the new wigs that legal practice is honour and discipline that may be lost through misconduct.
