Former Minister of State for Finance, Hon. (Elder) Akpan Wilson Etuk-Udo will be laid to rest on Saturday February 21,by 10am at the Methodist Primary School, Atan Ikpe, Edemeya, Ikot Abasi local government area.
Funeral arrangements signed by the son, Emmanuel Etuk-Udo and made available to newsmen, indicates that late Hon. (Elder) Akpan Wilson Etuk-Udo was Principal Secretary to Paul Omu, the former Military Governor, Cross River State and Chief of Personal Staff to Tunde Elegbede, another Military Governor, Cross River State.
From 1979 to1983, he became Chief of Personal Staff to late Dr Clement Isong, Governor, Cross River State and in 1983-1984 he was appointed Permanent Secretary, Governor’s Office, Cross River State.
He later became Director General, Directorate of Food, Roads, and Rural Infrastructures (DFRRI), Akwa Ibom State.
In 1989 to 1990 late Etuk-Udo emerged Director General, Ministry of Agriculture, Akwa Ibom State and in 1991 he was appointed Commissioner for Finance & Economic Development, Akwa Ibom State.
He was appointed Hon. Minister of State for Finance, Federal Republic of Nigeria in 1998-1999.
Friday February 20, will be service of songs at the RCCG, Dominion Joy Mega Parish, Oron Road, Uyo by 5pm.
Late Etuk-Udo passed unto glory at the age of 85.
