Founder of Heal The World Foundation, a philanthropic organisation, Dr. Emmanuel Ntatam, has donated a- N10.2million Toyota car to Rev. Nsuhoridem Pius Umouman, in preparation for his ordination into Catholic priesthood, slated to hold at St. Michael’s Parish, Ikot Ayan, Ikono Local Government Area, on Saturday, 21 September, 2024.
The donation, which took place on Sunday at the Priestly Ordination Fundraising and Deanery Combined Thanksgiving Mass for the yet-to-be ordained Reverend, was to support the priestly duties of Rev. Umouman, as well as encourage his effectiveness and efficiency, as he begins his official duties in God’s vinyard as a Catholic Priest.
Speaking while handing over the car to the recipient, Dr. Ntatam said he was moved by the need to assist the Catholic Church and the priesthood of Rev. Umouman to donate the car which, although, he acknowledged was a major request made to him by the Fundraising Planning Committee.
According to Dr. Ntatam who is the AkwaObong Uwana 1 of Ikono, a titled Chief in Ikono Local Government Area, he had resolved to donate the brand new Toyota car in acknowledgement of giving to humanity which he maintained is a divine command.
Obong Ntatam, who was the chairman at the fundraising, said having lived a life of philanthropy and impacting humanity over the years, he was pleased to contribute to the ease of the priesthood of Rev. Umouman in particular, and the Catholic Church in general.
” I’m donating this car to Rev. Nsuhoridem Pius Umouman as one who understands the power of giving. We all know that giving is a command; and not an option. Those who plant good seed will reap good seed as well.”

Receiving the car on behalf of Rev. Umouman, the Parish Priest of St. Michael’s, Rev.(Fr.) Brain Brown, appreciated Dr. Ntatam for donating a car worth of N10.2million to Rev. Umouman which he said was the rearest of gestures from a single apolitical individual.
He said with such philanthropy, Dr. Ntatam had clearly demonstrated his love for the church and mankind as a whole, adding that such would remain a memorial in times to come.
Rev. (Fr.) Brown said ” on behalf of Rev. Umouman, I really thank you for this gestures. We are very happy for this gift. Our prayer is that God will bless you and replenish all the sources of your income.
” I therefore, receive this car gift in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit – amen”.
Some members of the Catholic Church who spoke to The Crest thanked Obong Dr. Ntatam for his magnanimity towards the church.
They said Dr. Ntatam had done beyond their expectations, having single-handedly shouldered what was considered a huge burden to the church.
The parishioners therefore, prayed for God’s guidance and protection for Obong Ntatam whom they described as a proud son of Ikono Local Government Area.
Dr. Ntatan also gifted the sum of N200,000 to the parents of newly born twins in the area, Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Donald Ekpo.
Dr. Ntatam said he was moved by compassion and love to assist the family financially, pledging to continue to assist individuals of varied background, the church, less privileged and the whole of humanity in ensuring that life is made more meaningful to all.
The parents of the twins, Mr. and Mrs. Ekpo thanked Dr. Ntatam for coming to their aid.
They said the financial aid came at a time when they were going through hard times to feed their babies.
Mr. and Mrs. Ekpo therefore, pleadged to utilise the cash in the manner that would cater for the needs of their babies.
