Barely 12 days into the month of June, both teaching and non-teaching staff of Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) are yet to receive their May salary even as the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), suspends its indefinite strike action. The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Akwa Ibom State University(AKSU) chapter is set to begin indefinite strike today June 3, 2025 by 12 noon. The academic staff have accused the Akwa Ibom State Government of paying deaf ears to their demands despite several letters from the union.
