With kidney disease increasingly affecting Nigerians, the Atim Ekanem Foundation has called for early detection, the establishment of more dialysis centres, and urgent intervention to curb its rising prevalence. The foundation made this known on Thursday, 13 March 2025, at an awareness walk to mark World Kidney Day, an annual global campaign aimed at raising awareness and educating the public on the dangers of kidney disease.
