He said the equipping of the youths with work tools after the training was to ensure that Akwa Ibom youths benefit from the aspect of the capacity- building mandate of the Board, while also being self-reliant.
” NCDMB, being a capacity-building organisation, deemed it fit to ensure that Akwa Ibom youths benefit from its mandate.
” So, we came up with five selling skills of training for 250 youths in Akwa Ibom, in different categories, namely; fashion and design, solar panel installation, GSM/mobile phones repairs, business scaling and graphics, content creation, digital marketing and advertising”.

The NCDMB representative therefore, urged the beneficiaries to ensure that the tools that were distributed to them would be effectively used to help expand their trades and businesses.
Earlier in his remarks, the coordinator of the programme, Mr. Emmanuel Arome Sani, charged the trainees to always remember some of the things there were exposed to, during their classes.
He reminded them specifically that they were trained to be different and better trade and business managers than others, considering the level of exposure to principles, policies, rules and regulations which had been inculcated in their sub-conscious to guide them through.
” The difference between you who attended this training and those who didn’t attend is that they can’t see your back, because you have some principles; you have some policies; you have some rules and regulations that will guide you”.
The programme coordinator therefore, advised the beneficiaries to make good use of the tools in order to transform their lives and be self-sufficient.
Mr. Solomon Joseph Otong, one of the facilitators who presented a goodwill message, commended the trainees for their commitment to the training while it lasted.
He therefore, assured that the beneficiaries were moving out to contribute positively to their personal growth, and that of the society by extension.
Speaking in an interview with The Crest, one of the beneficiaries who received a laptop with its accessories, Miss Anamati Inyang, expressed appreciation to Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board, and its organising partner, Wedgewood Integrated Investment Limited, for putting up the training and ensuring all the trainees received starter packs related to what they were trained on.

The items that were presented to the beneficiaries, in addition to the certificates they received included; sewing machines and accessories, laptops and accessories, tablets, tools for GSM/ mobile phones repairs, tools for solar panel installations, among others.
